The old age home will be built, owned and operated by Lions Home Trust on a two Acre plot of land near Chandaka, Bhubaneswar. It is located beside the Odisha Police Special Operation Group premises which is one and half kms from Khurdha-Cuttack by pass N.H with a 40 feet wide road .
It will have 120 dwelling units. There will be 4 Two room units and 56 One room units during first phase and will be doubled in the second phase. The first phase is almost complete. Furnishing will take about 12 months. and the project is likely to be operated by end of this year.
Staff accommodation and other facilities for the inmates are mostly inside the complex.
Members can acquire one or more units. Payment for one room unit will be Rs.20.00 Lakhs and for a two room unit it will be Rs 40.00 Lakhs. However, this can be reduced by the Trustees for deserving persons at their discretion. Each member is eligible to name its unit in the name of his/her near and dear name and get a right of allotment to one senior citizen/couple of his/her choice under Lions Home Trust norms.
Institutions other than members, are also free to sponsor one/two room unit in any name at a cost of Rs.20.00/Rs40.00 Lakhs respectively which will entitle it a right of allotment of the unit to any senior citizen of its choice, under Lions Home Trust norms.
Dwelling units if not allotted to anybody by the member/institution within a maximum period of 3 months from the date of completion of project/vacation of unit, it will stand released to Lions Home Trust for allotment to any eligible senior citizen to stay under Lions Home Trust norms.
Ownership of units rests with Lions Home Trust but the member/institution reserves its right to recommend/name the user to stay for life under Lions Home Trust norms and after vacation/demise of the user another user can be allotted to stay provided he/she is a senior citizen under Lions Home Trust norms.
